Home From Dixie (for a few days)

Demi decided to stay in St. George this summer and work so we haven't seen her much in the last few months.  Last week she had a rollerblading wipe out and really got some awful road rash on her  upper legs..... (bum).  I had to crop the picture down to make it appropriate but it really was a mess, poor girl!  So I think she needed some TLC from her mom and (almost) nurse sister and decided to come home.  She is a cutie and we miss her when she's away.  I hope this fall she stays a little closer to home....I'm crossing my fingers!

This weekend we took our new trailer out for the first time.  We went to the Boat Club in Huntsville with Grandma and Grandpa Hill and the Smedleys.  Jake and Abbie were able to come and Demi decided to come home for a few days so all of our family was there.  We rode motorcycles, played games and enjoyed little Ivy.  She's a spitfire that has all of us wrapped around her finger.

Mother's Day

Aunt Shirley, Dean, Ryker and Kasen

This year we spent Mother's day in Logan at Dean's parents home.  The kids love Grandma and Grandpa Garrett and love spending time with them.  We had a yummy dinner and then gave Grandma her gift which was a Kindle reader.  She was so excited.  The boys had a great time looking at photo albums of their Dad growing up.  I am so lucky to have a wonderful Mom and Mother in law.

Recipe Group

Once a month seven of our girlfriends get together for recipe group.  We take turns hosting and providing the main dish.  The rest of the ladies are assigned different courses.  This month it was at Marla's home.  We had a Greek themed dinner.  Marla made Greek Kabobs and veggies, I made Greek lemon rice, Kim brought a Greek salad, Tonia did a hummus dip with pita bread and Dez and Kara provided the drinks and yummy cheesecake tarts.  It was so great.  We love this night and look forward to it every month!

St. George Getaway

A few weeks ago Lynette, Sandi and I were able to go to St. George and spend some time at Sandi's home away from home.  We had such a wonderful couple of days.  We ate yummy food, shopped and did ALOT of laying by the pool and reading.  It was pretty much heaven to be with two of my favorite friends and do all the things girls love to do!
